Author Guidelines

Ommega online encourages authors to register themselves with Ommega online before submitting their manuscript. Once author registers himself he can submit his work by logging from his unique identification number. Ommega online promote online submission for rapid processing and reducing administrative costs. Submissions by anyone other than one of the authors will not be accepted. The submitting author takes responsibility for the paper during submission and peer review.

During Submission process authors should ensure that they meet the following parameters for minimizing delays.

Essential information such as paper title, full author names and affiliations, corresponding authors, phone number with country and area code, email address and a complete postal address, permanent and present is required. It is also to be noted that there can be only person as a corresponding author.

We encourage our authors to follow the below table for the word count. The manuscript length is restricted to text body, citations and footnotes. Abstracts, figures and tables, references are not included in the manuscript length.

A concise and factual abstract is required. Each paper should be provided with an abstract not exceeding 250 words. The abstract should be self-contained, concise, indicate significant data, major findings and conclusions. Abstract is often presented separately from article. Standard nomenclature should be used and unexplained abbreviations or acronyms and references should be avoided.

It is always advised to the authors to submit their work by attaching a cover letter disclosing the details of research, article type, title of the manuscript, authors as well as their agreements for publication, number of tables, figures and words along with supporting documents and information.

Ommega online recommends its authors to follow English Language while submitting their manuscript. And request them to use 11 point Times New Roman as their font.

Title of the paper should be mentioned on the centre of the page highlighting the title in 16 point Times New Roman font with first latter in Capital Font .Title should not exceed 2 lines in length. It is also advised to the authors to avoid Vague, Numbers, Acronyms, explicit titles and try to make them concise and implicit. There should be no abbreviations.

Any changes in the requests after the publication will attract extra cost which should be borne by the author. The list of the author should clearly state the names of the authors who carried out the research, authors who wrote the article, along with the contributing authors if any.

Ommega online strictly adheres to peer review process. During this process the assessment of work is done by one or group of people by the people of the similar field, expertise and competence. It's a process of scrutinizing of the activity by the relevant field and profession in which the activity occurs. Peer review methods are adopted to maintain, increase and sustain quality, performance and credibility of the publication. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of discipline. This process of reviewing system helps in reducing unwarranted claims, interpretations, spreading of irrelevant findings and views.
Peer review can be categorized in many fields some of them are clinical peer review, physician peer review, nursing peer review, dentistry peer review, software peer review, technical peer review, medical peer review etc. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.

We recommend all the authors to submit their work in MS-Word or PDF format with Times New Roman Font 11 point. Authors should take care that each paragraph is separated by a single empty line. When submitting new or revised papers authors should state in their Cover letter the length of the paper by the number of pages submitted.

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, or thesis) and that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. In a situation where the article is published and later its duplicate has been discovered in such a situation authors will be contacted and notice for redundant publication will be issued.
The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other coauthors, or in case of an institution approvals of the institution or concerned departments are necessary. Only an acknowledgment from the editorial office officially establishes the date of receipt.
It is also to be noted that in the event of submission of a paper, authors authorize editing of the paper for readability. We request that our authors disclose any actual/potential conflict of interests in their submitted manuscripts including personal or financial relationships with an individual or an organization that can influence or supposed to influence, their work.

In this section all the details should be there and the procedures should not be repeated. It is about clarity of the methods adopted and the study conducted in that particular style. All the information gathered must be shown in result section; they can be classified under heads such as description of particles, technical information and statistics.
The author should include methods section at the end of the paper, which should not include figures and tables. It should be classified as per the headings, and several methods practiced.

Ommega online believes and provides its editorial team independence to carry out their work without any pressure, influence or issues. Editors decision is supreme in the event of accepting, rejecting, changes and modifications of manuscript.

All the authors are required to disclose the funding received for the work submitted. These funds can be research funds, Grant Details or any other financial assistance received from universities or academic community or any assistance received from third party.

Ommega Publisher follows the guidelines laid by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors recommendation ( http://www.icmje.org/about-icmje/faqs/conflict-of-interest-disclosure-forms/) Authors should disclose any Conflicts that could lead to influence the interest, objectivity, integrity of the work submitted. These conflicts could be Financial, employment, sources of funding or any third party interest. Authors are required to submit copyrights or patents related to the submitted work in the event of conflicts of interest. If there are no conflicts of interest authors are required to acknowledge NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST at the end of the paper.

Authors are required to submit the corrected proofs sent to them for any changes within 2-3 days. Delay in submission of the corrected proofs will hamper the process of the publication within the specified time.

Results should be demonstrated in a logical sequence in text, tables and figures. It should be clear, concise and significant and should not be repeated and shown in a single section or may be divided by subheadings. Discussions should focus on the key findings, potential short comings and limitations of the study. This section may be divided or can be combined.

Authors should ensure that all the figures should be on separate pages and mentioned in text and presented in a numerological order. They should be submitted separately and should contain brief title of the figure along with a short description. Figures should be of high resolution and the figure legend word limit is 300 words which should be places at the end of the manuscript.
All figures should be shown in a successive order. For figures that are obtained from web or other sources must obtain copyrights for the same. Similarly authors should obtain necessary permissions, licenses and third party rights for the images that are republished, modified or any that attract supplementary charges or fees.
If figures are not as per the guidelines it may delay the manuscript publishing as per the state time. Figures should be supplied in either vector art formats such as Illustrator, EPS, WMF, FreeHand, CorelDraw, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. or bitmap formats such as Photoshop, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc. Figure quality should be good and of a higher resolution for easy assessment. Our standard size for figures for single column is 81mm and for double column 180mm. All images should be in color.

Each table should be illustrated in different page and numbered consecutively. It is advised to the authors to provide tables in .Doc format and recommended that tables should ne as small as possible. Tables should always be presented in portrait style and it should be self-explanatory. It is advised not to use vertical rules and place the footnotes below the table body in superscript lower case letters.

Authors should give each reference for their original research. Authors are restricted to provide 20 references for short communication, 35 in original research and 75 in case of review papers. Authors should also ensure that references are cited in text and are present in the reference list; otherwise these references will be removed automatically. In cases of web references full URL should be given and the date should be provided when the URL was last accessed. We follow the references format of Vancouver reference style or the author-number format specified by the ICMJE Recommendations.

Ommega online continuously strive for quality and accurate work. In this event authors will be given notices for any changes or modifications as suggested by the editor. Similarly we even encourage authors to submit their corrections or changes to the manuscript after the paper is submitted to us and before it is published. In a condition for changes after the paper is published additional costs may incur depending on the modifications and changes suggested or required.

Supplementary data should be provided which are of primary importance to the manuscript. It is to be noted that we do not publish supplementary data since it can be vague and acts as a supporting data to the primary data. Supplementary data should be included in a separate file apart from the manuscript and should be clearly presented.
